LEED® and Build It Green

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) and Build It Green are green building rating systems encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

Florin Perkins can provide a confirmation letter, to our customers, stating that materials transported to facility were recycled and/or reused in conjunction with the requirements of LEED® and Build it Green, although third-party certification is still required. The Florin Perkins recycling rate is currently averaging 67%. This recycling rate is determined by the total tons of incoming materials divided by the total tons of wastes disposed.

If more detailed information is needed, the gate tags and/or invoices can be used to determine a more refined diversion rate based on the recycling rate of each material type processed at the facilities.
